How to crack/bypass CeVIO AI

NOTE: The only versions of CeVIO that allow audio mixdown are 8.4.5 and below! If you want to use an editor above that version (to use the 2.0 voicebanks, for example), you can use Audacity with the Audio Host set to Windows WASAPI, OBS' audio recording, or other alternatives. (PC World)

Instructions:

All you need to do is to trick the CeVIO SFE tool (from the CeVIO SFE 7.0.23.1 folder) into thinking that CeVIO AI is CeVIO Creative Studio by renaming the .exe and the Registry entry.

1: Install the AI editor and all the voicebanks you want to use, if you want to install more voicebanks/update anything in the future, you'll have to redo the whole thing. (I have both upcoming folders Favorited in the Registry Editor for future ease!)

2: Launch the editor once and update it if you want.

3: When installed, go into "C:\Program Files\CeVIO\CeVIO AI" and put the "CeVIO.SFE.Tool.exe" in there. (You can just leave it in the CeVIO AI folder, it's convenient for future uses.)

4: Open regedit, search for the "CeVIO_NV" folder in "HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software" and rename it to "CeVIO" (if a folder by that name already exists, rename that folder to something else, it doesn't matter for installation)

5: Do the same in "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE"

6: Go back to "C:\Program Files\CeVIO\CeVIO AI" and rename "CeVIO AI.exe" to "CeVIO Creative Studio.exe"

7: Run the SFE tool and select Activate, then go through the program's screens.

8: Open regedit again and do step 4, 5 and 6 backwards, undoing the changes you just did, and rename the registries back to "CeVIO_NV" and the file to "CeVIO AI.exe"
