Sachiko

Sachiko is the first Japanese VOCALOID developed by Yamaha Corporation for VOCALOID4.

It is a voice specialized in enka songs. She offers an expressive, natural and realistic singing voice with a wide vocal range in both high notes and low notes. Her voice is deep and mature, with a delicate timbre in high notes. She can produce a lot of expression and emotion. She has a particular pronunciation. She has strong consonants, especially the phoneme [k'] and her voice bows easily. Short combinations with the phoneme [M] tend to produce a slight pause between the consonant and the vowel (i.e. "ku" sounds like "khu"). Being a specialized voice bank, its voice is based on slower and more traditional genres. Her voice is considered complex to handle, so it is not suitable for beginners.
